Nowadays many companies specialize in the manufacturing of carpets by machine method. It is cheaper and faster (in relation to hand-made products) method of production of wool and synthetic carpets. Machine-woven carpets usually have a thin yarn and an even fleece. When weaving a machine-woven carpet, the machine produces the same two mirrored carpets at the same time. The colour palette that can be used in manufacturing them is limited to 10 colors. After the carpet is woven, patterns and sizes are cut and then levelled and trimmed. Typical materials used in the production of machine-made carpets are natural and synthetic yarns such as wool, cotton, chenille, viscose, polypropylene, acrylic and jute. Each of these materials has its own characteristics. There are carpets made of loop and cut weave. The main manufacturers of machine-made carpets are Turkey, Belgium and the Netherlands.
