In the manufacturing of carpets the most common material used is sheep's wool. It is now one of the highest-end raw materials (it is exceeded only by silk) used in carpets - it's a natural, very soft and fluffy fiber. There are different types of wool - wool of sheep, camel, goat, but the most popular is the first one. In different regions and on different continents, different types of wool are found - Argentinian, Tibetan, New Zealand. These yarns are of different quality and durability. Good quality wool is used for both machine and hand woven carpets. Compared to synthetic fibres, wool has better properties - it is more elastic, resistant to abrasion, the colours used on it are more durable. The second important feature of these carpets is their high natural humidity - which makes them very good anti-statics, good heat insulators, natural air humidity stabilizers and easy to clean.
Woollen carpets are often certified products - for example, Wollmark certifies that the rug is made of 100 percent wool cut from live animals or Wools of New Zealand, which is given to textiles made with 100 percent sheep wool from New Zealand.
Our extensive offer includes traditional and modern wool carpets. Wide choice of designs in different sizes will let you find the right carpet for your living room, bedroom, study room or children's room.
